About UsThe Joy Of Hope was founded by Carmella and Dan Dunkin, but we were led by God to do so. We have been accused of trying to "push" God on others, in our efforts to educate on the dangers of toxic molds and sick building syndrome. We do NOT try to "push" God on anyone, however we are Christians, we will NEVER deny that fact, and it is because of God that this foundation, (Ministry), ever began. Without the help, strength, and faith in God, we could do none of this. We feel that credit is to be given where credit is due, and all credit for the existence of this Ministry, and foundation goes to God. Without Him we could do none of this!
We will not preach to those who do not want to hear about God, but we will preach in Churches, and any other venue that will welcome us. We are not here to convert anyone, but if you are converted by our Mission here, then Praise God for it!
The Joy Of Hope is here to Help Other People Everywhere, we originaly wanted to be a huge resource for everything that we have lived through, but that is just way too much work for one family, so we are focussing on what has effected us most, toxic mold. We also have a resource section for other issues, and you can find these in the left side bar, towards the bottom.
Our goal is to educate as many as we can, and to help as many already ill from toxic mold as we possibly can. We are doing everything in our power to see to it that others do not have to suffer as we have.
It is very hard to stay strong, keep faith and fight to succeed, when your whole family is dying from an unseen villain, (Toxic mold), but we did, and now we are working to help other families to live again through this foundation / Ministry. There is no reason anyone should have to live through what our family lived through for years, and we want to help others so they don't have to go through the turmoil we did. With God's help we will be able to do just that with this Ministry. If you would like to assist us with this foundation, we could certainly use the help, and there is so much that you could do to help too, even if it is only passing out flyers around your town. That would be an enormous help to us. If you are interested in helping this foundation grow, please e-mail us at helpingout@thejoyofhope.org We still are not a 501c3, and really need to be if we are ever going to get the help that is needed for so many people. In order to become a 501c3, we need two additional members for the board of directors. If you think you would be interested in one of the two positions, please send us an e-mail. We would like for the two members to be an accountant and an attorney. Please remember this foundation is just getting started, and this is a volunteer position, there is no pay. Another qualification for the positions is you had to either be a mold survivor, or in some way associated with one. We do not want someone on the board that does not firmly believe in what we are doing, and know first hand the dangers that toxic molds present.
